What I Don't Understand About College Football

College football is good for many things; going to a big game at your alma mater on a perfect fall Saturday is arguably the most blissful form of leisure God has given us. Watching games on television from noon to midnight with your friends and plenty of beer is another great way to spend a day. But as for crowning the “national champion” and inter-sectional arguments about which team is best when there are over 100 of them and they don’t all play each other and there are no playoffs…not so much. The arguments are pointless, and I really don’t understand why people get so exercised about it.
